Linda Dagostino Rumsey
Publisher, loved this area enough
to make Brunswick County, North
Carolina , her family’s home. Linda soon realized,
however, that she was utterly clueless about reliable and dependable
businesses and services available in the area.
Her research resulted in the idea for Your Brunswick Marketplace,
a tool for all but especially
newcomers. Sister Publications is the result of newly forged
friendships.

Joanne Hennesy Thompson
Editor and
co-owner of Sister Publications, has owned a home in Brunswick
County for more than twenty years and has personally felt the changes
and growth of the county. She is a strong supporter of small and
minority-owned businesses.
Her professional work experience includes teaching English, editing,
writing, management, sales and marketing, as well as television and
radio work. Several years ago she retired to the Oak Island/Southport
area from Buffalo, NY, where she was the Regional Director for the New
York State Lottery in Buffalo. She also has more than ten years
experience with various aspects of tourism, working for NYS Economic
Development with the I LOVE NY Department.

Don McCauley
Advertising Consultant,
has been transplanted to this area for so long that he himself forgets
he wasn’t born and bred here. Don has been invaluable as the
advertising consultant to Sister Publications. Don brings nearly
30 years of experience in publicity and marketing to the table. Don
is Sister Publication’s token male.
